Food security and local growing

We have received funding from Gloucestershire Funders for research into local attitudes to food and growing, which aims to:

  • look at the awareness of food security
  • assess current levels of domestic and community food growing
  • measure the demand for people to start growing
  • identify barriers to why people might not be able to participate

Please follow the link to answer the survey, and share with your local Stroud District connections.

With further funding, this could result in a series of food-related workshops for local people. The project is also looking at the communal aspects of local allotments and growing provision within schools.

We will make results of the research available on our website in due course. For more information, please contact us
